The Georgia Club’s presence reached across the pond when the Financial Times, London’s answer to the Wall Street Journal, included the community in its feature of gated and master planned communities.  The article featured a round-up of the popularity of gated communities in locales from the UK and South America.  Quotes from The Georgia Club resident Diana Falletta were included about why she and her late husband, Carl, chose The Georgia Club.   “The people are without exception supportive and friendly,” she commented in the article.  “Here you can quickly become part of the community.”   View the Financial Times link above to read the entire article.

The Georgia Club Real Estate Company held its Second Annual Elite 50 Dinner February 12 recognizing local top real estate agents who made sales at The Georgia Club in 2008. The Top Sales Producer of the Year (the agent who sells the most number of homes throughout the year) was B. Presnell with Athens Classic Properties in Athens, GA. She is the recipient of a one week stay at the Las Ventanas in Mexico. The Top Dollar Volume Producer of the Year (the Agent who sells the most dollar volume of homes at The Georgia Club throughout the year) was a tie that resulted in a drawing won by Helen London of Coldwell Banker Upchurch Realtyin Athens, GA. Helen won a three-night trip to New York City with theater tickets. The Real Estate Partner of the Year was a random drawing of cards that participating agents put into a basket each time they visited throughout the year. That award, which was a year-long membership at The Georgia Club, was won by Susan Mosley from ReMax Top Performers in Watkinsville, GA. Cathy Scarborough of Coldwell Banker Upchurch Realty won a door prize of Sunday Brunch at The Georgia Club.

The Elite 50 program is in its second year and educates top real estate agents from surrounding counties including Clarke, Oconee, Gwinnett and Barrow about real estate offerings and the lifestyle at The Georgia Club. The program also recognizes top producing agents who introduce qualified prospects to the community. The program is by invitation.
